After working in the beauty industry and owning her own business for several years, Maxine decided to make a career change and hasn’t looked back since. Born in South Africa, Maxine fell in love with travel at a very young age. It was when she was on a trip in Costa Rica and the USA, thinking about her next big career path she decided to get into the travel industry. Maxine began working at FBI Travel in 2011 and finds that being in the industry combines two of her favourite things: Travel and People. 

Maxine started off working in the Leisure department and moved across to Corporate in 2016. In 2018, FBI was rapidly growing and Maxine was offered a new role as Operations and Systems Manager looking after systems for the office whilst still working with the Corporate Department. Her duties include corporate implementation, configuration and handling of our online booking tools, general office system management and maintenance as well as reporting

Maxine loves this role as everyday is different. The role covers so many areas and Maxine loves using her problem solving abilities as well as her organisational skills on a daily basis. Days are challenging and busy but very rewarding.

Her love for working in the travel industry remains strong and as well as the opportunities that come along with working for such well known company.

Maxine said “In regards to travel, I absolutely love exploring new places and learning about all different cultures – My favourite thing is to go somewhere I’ve never been!
