Now, as a grandmother, Vera is combining the care for her grandchildren with travel. And perhaps she can influence some of you to consider doing the same. She often takes each of her grandchildren, on a "one to one" trip. They have inherited the same passion for travel and have accumulated many passport stamps. For the next special trip, they discuss the options of the destination as a family.  Places they have visited include Africa on safari, an Alaskan cruise, and Denali National Park. On of the most interesting and unique, or let's say different, trips was her trip to Ecuador. Her most recent was a journey through Japan. Each trip was very different – the essence always to have quality time together.

Vera suggests, "When you think about it, children are 12 and upwards and still young enough to want to travel with their grandparents - but old enough to remember."
